Eiler Sommerhaug, M.D.

Board Certified Surgeon and Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Sommerhaug studied medicine at Albany Medical College in New York. He then completed general and plastic surgery residencies at University of California, Davis. Following that, he worked 5 years at University of California, Davis as an assistant professor. His practice evolved into one specializing in facial, breast and leg reconstruction after tumor resection and trauma. He has repaired many skin cancer and melanoma resection defects with an emphasis on restoring normal appearance and minimizing surrounding deformities. At this time, Dr. Sommerhaug also performs primary resection of melanomas and is trained and accomplished in sentinel lymph node biopsy procedures. He now practices in Petaluma and operates throughout Sonoma County.
