Allen Cortez, M.D.

Dr. Cortez has been in full time practice in Sonoma County since 1997 with a brief sojourn to New Hampshire from 2004 to 2005. He is on the active staff at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Sutter Hospital.

Dr. Cortez graduated from the University of Michigan, Medical School in 1991 and completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. He developed an interest in melanoma surgical care while in residency and wrote a published review of melanoma care for residents.

Dr. Cortez provides a full spectrum of general surgical care including wide excision, sentinel lymph node biopsy, lymphadenectomy and skin grafting. His other interests include minimally invasive surgery, bariatric surgery and hernia surgery. His other passion is his wife and two daughters.
